THCa Banned in Tennessee
Man in cuffs with marijuana

In 2025, Tennessee passed a law effectively banning the sale and shipment of all THCa and similar hemp-derived products with concentrations of .03% and higher. Starting July 1, 2026, the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission will begin enforcing that law. The Tennessee ABC will be enforcing the statewide restriction on the sale and shipment of THCa products. Whether possession of such products by the consumer will be prosecuted remains an open question. Given the reclassification, it will likely be up to individual law enforcement agencies on how they police it. If you have a marijuana or THC related criminal charge, call now to consult with one of our experienced criminal defense attorneys. (931) 647-5242.
